Jeff Rickard

Jeff Rickard, Esq. is an Attorney at Habbas & Associates with more than 35 years of civil litigation experience. His practice specializes in personal injury cases — including wrongful death, catastrophic injury, motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, dog bites, premises liability, and product liability — and extends throughout California and approximately 15-20 other states.

Rickard has been named Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association three times (2008, 2011, and 2014) and has held an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell since 2011. He also serves as an early neutral evaluator, arbitrator, and private mediator. His notable case results include a verdict exceeding $10 million in 2008, a $6 million settlement in 2011, and a bicycle injury case involving dangerous road design in 2014.

He is a former longtime member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and a former board member of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University in 1985 and is admitted to all California state courts (including the California Supreme Court), the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
