About Ned Deakins
Ned Deakins spent 15 years as a Colorado State Deputy Public Defender in the Appellate Division, where he argued more than 150 appeals, won new trials for clients denied fair proceedings, and successfully defended a $10 million verdict at the Colorado Court of Appeals. He joined Leventhal Puga Braley P.C. to focus that appellate expertise on vindicating the rights of civil clients in the appellate courts. Ned holds a J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law (2006) and a B.A. from New York University (2000). Prior to law school, he worked as a volunteer firefighter, and he continues to give back to the legal community by lecturing at the Public Defender's annual legal conference.
