About Stanley Levy

Stanley J. Levy serves as of counsel at Levy Konigsberg LLP and was instrumental in founding the firm. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College in 1956 and his law degree from Columbia University School of Law in 1959. Following law school, he spent four years as an Assistant Attorney General of New York, focusing on securities and consumer fraud investigations and the early regulation of real estate syndications. He subsequently developed the firm's national standing in personal injury and wrongful death cases involving asbestos, mesothelioma, and toxic torts, serving as lead counsel in major asbestos litigation for more than 20 years.

His practice has expanded to include pharmaceutical, healthcare, and commercial fraud litigation. He was co-chairman of the Federal Judicial Center's Asbestos Litigation Management Project in 1990 and was appointed to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York's Civil Justice Reform Act Committee in 1996. He has also represented aviation disaster victims in three major air crashes.
