About Abbott Brown

Abbott S. Brown is a partner at Lomurro Munson LLC concentrating on civil litigation with an emphasis in medical malpractice and legal malpractice. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law, Newark in 1978 and has been admitted in New Jersey since 1978, with additional admissions in the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits. He has lectured on malpractice law more than 80 times, authored multiple publications on the topic, and served as an Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law from 1998 through 2010. His largest single recovery is a $10,175,000 verdict in a hospital malpractice intubation case.

The Association of Trial Lawyers of America awarded him its Gold Medal for Distinguished Service in 2001. New Jersey Law Journal named him to the state's Top Ten Lawyers list in 2006 and the Top 100 Lawyers list from 2005 through 2017. He was also recognized among the 50 Most Powerful People in New Jersey Healthcare in 2012 and received the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award in 2013.
