David McDivitt

David McDivitt is the Executive Vice President, CEO, and Attorney at McDivitt Law Firm in Colorado.

McDivitt previously served as Deputy Public Defender with the Colorado State Public Defender's office. He frequently testifies before Colorado legislative committees on injury protection legislation and serves as a legal analyst for television and radio.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He completed additional studies at Washington and Lee University and the University of Paris-Sorbonne (French language certification).

He is admitted to the Colorado Bar, U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He is a member of the American Association for Justice, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (Board of Directors, Executive Committee), American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, National Trial Lawyers Association, and Million Dollar Advocates Forum (Life Member).

He has been recognized as National Trial Lawyers Association Top 40 Trial Lawyers Under 40, Colorado Super Lawyers 2018 Rising Star, National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys Top 10 in Colorado, and Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Membership Volunteer of the Year (2010).
