William Burns Jr.

William S. "Bill" Burns Jr., Esq. is a trial lawyer at Pajcic & Pajcic with over five decades of legal experience advocating for victims of injury. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer specializing in medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, and premises liability.

Burns practiced personal injury law starting in 1974 and joined Pajcic & Pajcic in 1996. Earlier in his career he spent 20 years as an insurance defense attorney and served as a Certified Mediator for five years. Before law school, he served as a U.S. Navy Lieutenant in the Civil Engineer Corps from 1967 to 1971.

He has secured substantial verdicts including a $13 million verdict in a log truck case, a $7 million settlement (despite no criminal charges in the underlying matter), and a $5.25 million recovery in a fatal crash, plus multi-million dollar medical malpractice recoveries. He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell — the highest possible peer rating — and is an invited member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

He earned his J.D. with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1973 and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in 1967. He was admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1974.
