Seth Price is the Founding and Managing Partner of Price Benowitz LLP, which he has grown from two attorneys to more than 40.
Price earned his Juris Doctor with honors from George Washington University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the Bar of the District of Columbia and the State Bar of New York.
After law school, Price worked as an insurance litigator at Swindler & Berlin and was a co-founder of USLaw.com, an early consumer legal website. He served on the executive committee of the National Trial Lawyers Association and is a member of the Washington DC Trial Lawyers Association. Price Benowitz, with co-counsel Ben Crump, filed a $25 million wrongful death suit for the father of Rolin Hill, who died in 2024 after Virginia Beach jail deputies restrained and beat him during a mental health crisis.
A large tree fell onto a moving car on Beach Drive in Rock Creek Park and trapped the driver, Marcelino Cruz Leiva. He sued the United States under the Federal Tort Claims Act, alleging the National Park Service should have found and removed the decayed tree. After a four-day bench trial in December 2023, Judge Amit Mehta entered judgment for Cruz Leiva on his negligence claim in the sum of $5 million on May 7, 2024.
