About Karen Karavatos
Karen L. Karavatos has been a litigation attorney in California for more than 30 years and joined Robinson Calcagnie, Inc. in 2001, becoming an income partner on February 1, 2019. She represents victims of personal injury, product defects, wrongful death, fire damage, and consumer fraud, and has served as both lead counsel and support counsel for thousands of plaintiffs in complex, multiparty litigation across the country. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, she moved with her family to San Clemente, California in 1970, passed the California High School Proficiency Exam at 16.
And earned an associate degree from Saddleback Community College before completing her B.A. at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1984 and her J.D. at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1987. She was selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers list from 2015 through 2019 and was chosen as a Top 100 attorney by The National Trial Lawyers in 2018. Earlier in her career she wrote extensively on construction defect litigation, publishing articles in Orange County Lawyer magazine, Condo Management magazine, and Community Associations Institute publications.
