Michael Olson

Michael W. Olson is an attorney at Robinson Calcagnie, Inc., handling personal injury, class action, and mass tort litigation involving products liability, data privacy, and consumer rights. His case work at the firm includes the Yahoo private information disclosure cases, which produced a $117.5 million class settlement, the Experian data breach litigation, valued in excess of $39 million for the class, the Ambry Genetics data breach litigation, valued above $20 million, and the Dodge v. PHH Corporation $17 million class settlement. He was a member of the team that helped secure the landmark Route 91 settlement in Sheppard v. Mandalay Bay for victims of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, and was nominated for the 2021 Consumer Attorney of the Year award by the Consumer Attorneys of California.

His current matters include the LoanDepot data breach litigation, the Marriott customer data security breach MDL, and cases concerning PFAS contamination of drinking water in Orange County. He earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his J.D. from the UC Irvine School of Law, where he was a staff editor of the UC Irvine Law Review and argued an immigration case before the Ninth Circuit through the Appellate Litigation Clinic. He was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2024 and 2025.
