About Sara Collins

Sara Collins is an attorney from Pikeville, Kentucky, with more than two decades of legal experience. She graduated cum laude from Georgetown College and earned her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2004, then began her career as a felony prosecutor at the Jefferson County Commonwealth Attorney's Office. In 2012 she moved to complex civil litigation, first on the defense side and later as a plaintiff's attorney in private practice.

She joined Sam Aguiar Injury Lawyers in 2021, where her practice focuses on complex litigation, wrongful death, and civil rights claims. She is admitted in Kentucky state courts, the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky, the Southern District of Indiana, and the Sixth and Seventh Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals. She is also a published legal writer and a frequent speaker on domestic violence, sexual abuse, and civil rights.
