Amanda Brasfield

Amanda L. Brasfield earned her law degree from Loyola University School of Law while attending night classes and worked as a paralegal and law clerk at Schwartz Jambois prior to her bar admission, where she contributed to more than 12 medical malpractice trials and complex personal injury matters. She is admitted to practice in Illinois, Iowa, and Florida. Brasfield handles birth injuries, cerebral palsy cases, surgical errors, delayed and missed diagnoses, construction accidents, trucking accidents, and automobile accidents, as well as childhood sexual abuse and police misconduct claims. She authors an annual chapter in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook, a contribution she has made for six consecutive years. Her notable results include an $8.5 million verdict in a trench-collapse case, a $3.2 million verdict in Dawn Kostal v. Pinkus Dermatopathology for misdiagnosed blastomycosis, a $2.3 million surgical vascular injury settlement, and a $1.7 million verdict for a patient who lost sight following an eye surgery error.
