Alejandro Acosta

Alejandro Acosta is a Partner at Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro P.C., with over 10 years representing clients in personal injury and wrongful death cases. He has tried more than a dozen cases to verdict in Texas and New Mexico.

Acosta earned his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2008 and his undergraduate degree from St. Mary's University in 2004. He also holds an Indian Legal Certificate for tribal law work. He is admitted to the State Bars of Texas (2008), New Mexico (2011), and Arizona, and to the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Mexico and the Western District of Texas.

A lifelong El Paso resident, Acosta is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law and a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2018, on the Top 40 Under 40 and Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and as Lawyers of Distinction (2020). He served as President of the El Paso Trial Lawyers Association in 2018 and sits on the Texas Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors.
