Michael Gomez

Michael Gomez is an Associate Attorney at Tawney, Acosta & Chaparro P.C. with over a decade of experience in civil, criminal, and mental health litigation.

Gomez earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law in May 2013 and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with University Honors cum laude from The University of Texas at El Paso in May 2010. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Gomez previously served as Division Chief of the Civil and Mental Health Litigation Unit for the El Paso County Attorney's Office, where he oversaw complex litigation matters and mentored trial attorneys. His cases have reached state appellate courts and federal jurisdictions.
