Herbie Montalvo

Herbie Montalvo is a litigator who began his career defending some of the world's largest companies against claims often exceeding $100 million before joining The Ammons Law Firm in 2024 to represent injured individuals and their families. Originally from Rio Grande City in South Texas, he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and received his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2016, where he was a Technical Editor for the Baylor Law Review. He then spent seven years in the litigation department of an international law firm in Houston, representing companies before courts and arbitration tribunals across the country and second-chairing four trials. Best Lawyers in America named him One to Watch in Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation for 2023 and 2024. Herbie maintains an active pro bono practice representing undocumented immigrant children in family, juvenile, and immigration courts in partnership with Kids in Need of Defense, and Chevron recognized him in 2019 for helping two immigrant children obtain special immigrant juvenile status.
