About Michael Becker

Michael F. Becker founded The Becker Law Firm in 1979 and has spent more than 40 years as a trial attorney devoted to finding justice for victims of roadway, premises, and medical negligence. He has represented victims of birth trauma and brain injuries across the country, from Maine to Hawaii as well as throughout Ohio. A firm believer that full justice for clients requires a willingness and ability to advocate in the courtroom, he earned board certification as a Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with The National Board of Trial Advocacy, accredited by the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only organization limited to the top 100 personal injury lawyers in the country, into which he was inducted in 2004. He has shared his expertise by lecturing on medical negligence and authoring articles on medical malpractice for state and national publications.

In 2009, he received the Craig Spangenberg Distinguished Advocate Award from the Ohio Association for Justice, given to one attorney per year. He is the former President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and former Chair of the Medical Negligence Section of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has been elected a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers and has been regularly selected for Best Lawyers in America and Ohio Super Lawyers. Michael attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, earning his B.A. in 1971, and earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1976, graduating with distinction.
