Romney Cullers

Romney Cullers has been trying complex cases in Ohio for over 30 years and joined The Becker Law Firm in 2014. He has tried cases to verdict involving wrongful death, children catastrophically injured at birth, medical and surgical negligence, product liability, premises liability, and automobile negligence, obtaining numerous multimillion-dollar recoveries for his clients. In 2016, he secured the largest settlement in Ohio history for injuries to an individual plaintiff: $60.7 million on behalf of Gasia Thomas, who suffered severe injuries from a fallen power line at the age of 12. In 2021, he recovered $24 million for a college athlete who suffered sudden cardiac arrest after basketball practice but did not receive immediate life-saving measures from coaching staff.

For 25 years, Romney has held academic appointments at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, teaching Trial Tactics, Appellate Advocacy, and Medical Malpractice as part of the school's nationally recognized Law-Medicine Center. He frequently speaks at Continuing Legal Education seminars on trial strategy, cross-examination of experts, and the use of demonstrative evidence. Romney is a Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with The National Board of Trial Advocacy, accredited by the American Bar Association. He is a past president of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys and currently serves as a Master Bencher in the Judge John M. Manos American Inn of Court.
