About David Haynes

David E. Haynes is the managing partner of The Cochran Firm DC and has been representing clients throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia since the office's founding. He handles commercial vehicle and trucking collisions, gas explosions, carbon monoxide poisoning, fires, inadequate security, medical malpractice, train collisions, product liability, and police misconduct. David has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements, including co-liaison counsel for all plaintiffs in the Fort Totten Metrorail cases (9 deaths, 85 injuries) and a $190 million class-action settlement in Jane Doe No. 1 v. Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Virginia Lawyer's Weekly recognized him in 2006 for one of the largest verdicts in the state, and again in 2012 for two of the ten largest settlements in Virginia in wrongful-death cases. He has been named a Super Lawyer in Personal Injury for Washington DC every year since 2013, and listed in Best Lawyers in America from 2016 onward.
