W. Charles Meltmar

W. Charles Meltmar focuses primarily on personal injury plaintiff claims involving catastrophic personal injuries, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse and neglect at The Cochran Firm DC. His practice spans the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Over the course of his career he has tried more than 150 personal injury cases. Before concentrating on malpractice and catastrophic injury, he handled a variety of civil litigation matters.

He graduated from George Washington University with a B.S. in business administration in 1986 and earned his J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in 1992. He joined The Cochran Firm in 2003. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the Supreme Court of the United States. He serves on the board of governors of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington DC and holds membership in the American Bar Association and the Maryland Association for Justice.
