David O'Connor

David O'Connor is of counsel to Cavanagh Sorich Law Group and also serves as founder and principal of O'Connor Law Offices. He brings more than 30 years of courtroom experience in criminal and civil litigation. O'Connor previously served as an award-winning prosecutor with the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, including a role as Felony Trial Division Supervisor.

He earned his B.A. from Winona State University, his M.A. from Arizona State University, and his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law. His notable civil results include the $20 million wrongful death settlement in a code of silence case involving an off-duty Chicago Police detective, which was secured after O'Connor uncovered withheld evidence. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
