Jason Kroot

Jason M. Kroot is a partner at Cavanagh Sorich Law Group with more than 20 years of advocacy in personal injury and medical malpractice law. He obtained his B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995 and his J.D. from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1999. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, including the Trial Bar since 2001.

Kroot is recognized as an Illinois Leading Lawyer and is listed in Who's Who in American Law. His practice spans medical malpractice, automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, and construction injury cases. He was part of the trial team that secured the $104 million Cook County verdict in an October 2025 road construction negligence case and has also obtained a $16.3 million Cook County anesthesia malpractice verdict and a $12.5 million settlement for a stroke victim following a medication error.
