Alex Arteaga-Gomez is deeply committed to helping individuals in crisis, advocating for victims in general liability, mass tort, and medical malpractice matters. Before joining GYC, he served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Southern District of Florida and has tried cases and argued appeals in both state and federal courts, including before the U.S. Supreme Court. He began his career as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Adalberto J. Jordan, then joined White and Case LLP in Miami, and later practiced complex white-collar criminal and civil cases. Alex has represented clients injured or bereaved in significant mass casualty events in Florida, including the 2017 Hollywood Hills nursing home tragedy during Hurricane Irma, the 2018 Florida International University pedestrian bridge collapse, the 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting, and the 2021 Champlain Towers South condominium collapse.
