Charles Johnson

Charles E. Johnson III ("Trip") is an attorney at John Foy & Associates in Atlanta, Georgia. He joined the firm in 2014 and focuses exclusively on the most serious personal injury claims.

Johnson earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1991 and his Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rhodes College in 1988. He is admitted to all Georgia state trial and appellate courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Georgia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Johnson began his career at a small firm in Macon, Georgia, then served as in-house counsel for Travelers Insurance Company, St. Paul Insurance Company, and Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He has used his insurance defense knowledge to represent injured plaintiffs throughout his career.

Notable results include a $7.7 million jury verdict in the State Court of Fulton County in 2017 in a motorcyclist death case and a $5 million jury verdict in Fulton County Superior Court against MARTA in September 2022 stemming from his client's collision with a MARTA bus.
