About Joshua Novak

Joshua Novak is an attorney at Kelley | Uustal Trial Attorneys who represents clients in catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters involving product liability, motor vehicle crashes, premises liability, negligent security, and medical malpractice. He began his career as an Assistant State Attorney, securing convictions in cases involving attempted murder, kidnapping, and drug trafficking, and served on the Police Accountability and Integrity Team, investigating and trying cases involving police brutality and misconduct. Before joining the firm, Novak worked as a lead plaintiff's attorney in Miami, where he secured a $3.1 million settlement for a condominium owner forced to abandon his home after the homeowners' association failed to repair leaks that made the unit uninhabitable.

During law school he clerked for a boutique catastrophic injury and medical malpractice firm, helping recover a $1.2 million trial verdict for a client who shattered his elbow on a dangerous sidewalk grate, and interned at the New York County District Attorney's Office, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in America for plaintiff-side medical malpractice, personal injury, and product liability litigation, and received the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association Rising Star Award in 2025. Novak earned his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law and a B.S. in secondary education from Penn State.
