About Joseph Fortunato

Joseph Fortunato is an associate at Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore with a practice focused on general liability and medical malpractice cases, including catastrophic accidents and construction matters. He graduated magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law in 2015, where he served on Law Review, was a teaching assistant to several professors, and clerked at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York. He graduated cum laude from Quinnipiac University in 2012.

Before joining KDLM, Fortunato served as a prosecutor in the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, acting as lead counsel on numerous trials and investigating and indicting hundreds of crimes. He then represented major developers and construction managers in New York State in general liability and construction accident matters before transitioning to plaintiff personal injury work. He has been recognized in the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40.
