About Kate Bailey

Kate Bailey spent more than a decade as a defense attorney representing physicians, hospitals, healthcare organizations, and national companies in complex civil litigation before devoting her practice to representing injured individuals and families. That defense-side experience gives her direct insight into how defendants build and try complex cases, which she draws on to anticipate and counter defense strategies. Kate has tried complex civil cases in state and federal courts across the country, argued before the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Eighth Circuit, and has taken and defended hundreds of depositions.

Her work contributed to the largest excessive force settlement ever paid by El Paso County, Colorado. She earned her J.D. cum laude from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School, where she was a two-time champion of the Utah State Bar Linda Anderson Trial Advocacy Competition (2012-2013), and her B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Kate is admitted in Colorado and Utah, and has been named a Colorado Super Lawyers Rising Star and to Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch.
