Rebecca Kimmel

Rebecca Kimmel is a partner at Levy Konigsberg LLP who represents survivors of sexual abuse. She earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University and her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. She is admitted in New York, New Jersey, and the Southern District of New York.

She focuses on cases involving abuse in correctional facilities, juvenile detention centers, residential treatment programs, and psychiatric hospitals. She has been instrumental in developing cases against New York City and New York State under the Adult Survivors Act and represents dozens of clients abused in residential treatment centers and psychiatric hospitals across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In 2024, she prevailed on a motion to file a notice of claim outside the typical time period for a survivor of abuse by correction officers in a New York jail.
