Ted Lyon

Ted B. Lyon, Esq. is the Managing Partner of Loncar Lyon Jenkins with over 48 years of litigation experience and more than 150 jury trials. He is recognized as one of Texas's most preeminent experts in complex litigation across tort law disciplines, including personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, and catastrophic injury matters.

Lyon has been featured on Good Morning America, 60 Minutes II, and NBC Dateline, and profiled in Texas Lawyer, The National Law Journal, and D Magazine. He is the author of The Real Wolf, exploring the legal and environmental dimensions of wildlife conservation in America. He has earned a remarkable list of honors, including the Super Lawyer designation by Texas Monthly every year from 2003 to 2023, the American Trial Lawyers Association's Top 100 lawyers in America since 2007, D Magazine's Best Lawyer in Dallas in 2024, America's Most Honored Lawyers in 2023, and a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating since 1986. He is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow (2010) and has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates since 1997.

He earned his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1975 and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from East Texas State University in 1972. He has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 1976 and is fluent in English and Spanish.
