Christopher Carr

Christopher W. Carr is a partner at Lyons & Simmons who has practiced law in Texas for more than 30 years, representing injured plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases as well as businesses in high-dollar disputes. He has tried roughly 30 cases since 1994 and appeared in courts across approximately 20 states. His trial results include the $109.5 million Rymers v. CPS Energy home explosion verdict in 2025, the second-largest negligence verdict in Bexar County history, a $10.1 million verdict in Adams v. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound that ranked among the top 50 Texas verdicts of 2022, and a $5.9 million verdict in Rogers v. Rangel and Dancar Energy Construction, the largest personal injury verdict in Midland County history.

Earlier in his career, Carr served three years as General Counsel of USMD Holdings, Inc. and managed the legal aspects of the company's sale. He earned his J.D. cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1994, where he was a note editor of the Texas Tech Law Review, and a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. He received the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association's John Howie Award in 2021 and has been named to Best Lawyers in America and Texas Super Lawyers.
