Christopher Simmons

Christopher J. Simmons is a founding partner of Lyons & Simmons, the Dallas trial firm he launched with Michael Lyons in 2020 after the two practiced together at Deans & Lyons. He represents plaintiffs in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from oilfield explosions and disasters, aviation accidents, industrial accidents, defective products, and commercial trucking crashes, and also handles business disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, and fiduciary duty claims. His results include the $109.5 million Rymers v. CPS Energy gas explosion verdict, a $70 million wrongful death recovery in a negligent security case, and a $67.5 million recovery for burn injuries in a home explosion.

He was appointed to the Plaintiffs' Executive Committee in the In Re: Astroworld Festival Litigation following the 2021 concert tragedy. Simmons earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of Barristers, and a B.A. with honors from Texas A&M University. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2021, named a Texas Super Lawyer, and recognized in the Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers guide.
