About Samuel Meirowitz
Samuel Meirowitz is the founding partner of Meirowitz & Wasserberg, LLP, a New York City personal injury and mesothelioma law firm. An accomplished trial attorney admitted to practice in 2001, he began his career at Anderson Kill & Olick representing policyholders against insurance carriers, then served four years as a prosecutor in the Bronx District Attorney's Office before joining a national plaintiffs firm as a senior trial lawyer.
In 2011, Mr. Meirowitz co-founded Meirowitz & Wasserberg with a mission to advocate for individuals injured through no fault of their own. The firm has recovered more than $400 million in settlements and over $100 million in verdicts for its clients across personal injury, construction accident, wrongful death, mesothelioma, and labor and employment matters.
Mr. Meirowitz is widely recognized for his trial work. In 2013, he secured what is believed to be the first multimillion-dollar asbestos verdict in more than two decades in a New York federal court, persuading the jury to hold a boiler manufacturer responsible for 60 percent of the $3.8 million award. He has been named to the Top 100 Trial Lawyers, was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2013 and 2014, and has been named a New York Super Lawyer every year since 2016.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Meirowitz has taught law as an adjunct professor at the City University of New York (Queens) and the Interboro Institute.
