Emily Akbarshahi

Emily Akbarshahi is an attorney at Montlick Injury Attorneys in Georgia. She joined the firm in 2025 after building experience in both criminal defense and personal injury law.

Akbarshahi began her legal career in criminal defense, handling motions and hearings across Georgia courts, before transitioning to focus exclusively on personal injury cases. She has successfully resolved numerous injury cases and brings negotiation experience with insurance companies to her practice.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she received the CALI Award for Race and Class in American Public Education and the Roberts Senior Class Writing Award. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Georgia State University.

She is admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia Insurance Law Section and Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL). She is fluent in Farsi.
