Jacob Alford

Jacob Ryan Alford serves Of Counsel at Sandoval & James Law Firm in Austin, Texas, in addition to running his own practice, Alford Law PLLC, which he founded in 2016. A San Antonio native, Alford is a Texas trial attorney who has successfully resolved thousands of cases on behalf of injured Texans and tried numerous matters to jury verdict, with collective client recoveries exceeding $500 million.

Before founding Alford Law, Alford clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Xavier Rodriguez in San Antonio, practiced commercial litigation at a prestigious Austin firm, worked at a large defense firm in New Mexico, and represented plaintiffs at a large Houston personal injury firm. He has obtained the highest personal-injury verdict in Austin for a non-fatal car wreck and has been recognized on Texas Monthly's Top 100 Motor-Vehicle Verdicts list multiple times (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022).

Alford earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was Senior Mock Trial Champion and Mock Trial Director and was inducted into the Order of Barristers, an honor reserved for the top advocates in his graduating class.

He has been recognized by Super Lawyers (Thomson Reuters), Texas Monthly Top Attorneys, and Best Lawyers 'Ones to Watch.' He is a member of The State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association, Christian Trial Lawyers, and serves as Vice President of Finance for the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of MENSA.
