Dakota Johnson

Dakota Johnson is an attorney at Sorrels Law whose practice centers on product liability and personal injury cases, where he leverages a strong engineering background to advocate for clients in technically complex matters. Before his legal career he served in the United States Navy, working at two separate nuclear facilities. While stationed on a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier he trained over 150 personnel on the design and operation of nuclear power plants and oversaw the execution of chemistry and radiological control plans for safe reactor operations. During his Navy service he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technologies from Old Dominion University.

He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he made the Dean's Honor List and received the CAPT Kevin J. Barry, USCG Endowed Student Award along with a scholarship from the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. His analytical skills allow him to dissect complicated cases and communicate intricate technical concepts to clients and juries. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
