Turner Johnston

Turner Johnston is a partner at Sorrels Law whose practice centers on catastrophic personal injury, including commercial truck collisions, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, fires and explosions, wrongful death, airplane and train accidents, industrial accidents, defective products, dram shop liability, and sexual assault cases, along with business disputes and securities arbitration. Born and raised in Houston and a first-generation college graduate, he earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Houston Downtown in 2015 and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2018, where he served as a student attorney in the school's civil law clinic. Before joining Sorrels Law he was a defense attorney representing securities brokerage firms, financial advisors, trucking companies, and commercial airlines.

At age 22 he suffered a catastrophic eye injury that left him completely blind in his right eye and legally blind in his left, an experience that took nearly two years and numerous surgeries to partially recover from and that informs his connection with catastrophically injured clients. Since joining Sorrels Law he has secured tens of millions of dollars in recoveries. He was named a Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
