Eric Gerard

Eric Gerard is a former prosecutor and trial lawyer who joined Sorrels Law as its first partner in 2023. He has recovered over $250 million from corporations and insurers in the five years before and after joining the firm. He began his career in the Trial Division of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, then served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Department of Justice's white-collar and major crimes divisions, where he led high-profile investigations involving the opioid crisis, arms dealers, fraudulent medical clinics, and a corrupt DEA agent.

After public service he was a partner at a firm named one of Benchmark Litigation's ten best plaintiff firms in the United States. He earned the top score in the country on the Texas Bar Exam, graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Virginia School of Law in the top 10 percent of his class, holds a master's degree with highest honors from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington and Lee University. He is a Texas Super Lawyer, a fellow of the Texas Bar and Houston Bar Foundations, and a member of the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.
