Gregory Garvin

Gregory Garvin, MD, MPH, JD, LLM is a physician-attorney at Sorrels Law who brings his medical experience to bear for victims of medical malpractice and personal injury. His path to the law began with personal tragedy: after losing his mother to an act of medical malpractice, he left his medical practice and returned to school to fight for others harmed by substandard care. He attended Texas A&M University as a member of the Corps of Cadets, serving as executive officer of Company P-2, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and completed a Master of Public Health at the Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

After years of medical practice he attended the University of Houston Law Center, earning his J.D. and LL.M. degrees simultaneously and winning an intramural mediation tournament, and he completed a trial preparation course through Baylor Law held in St. Andrews, Scotland. Before joining Sorrels Law he successfully represented clients in personal injury, premises liability, and wrongful death cases, securing millions in settlements, along with contract, probate, and motor vehicle and train accident matters. His dual training in law and medicine equips him to litigate complex medical malpractice claims.
