About David Hammer

David M. Hammer is a partner at Kelley | Uustal Trial Attorneys who focuses his practice on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases involving product defects, auto crashes, premises liability, and trucking accidents. With more than 25 years of experience in personal injury law, he has handled over 3,000 cases and guided clients through every stage of litigation. His results include a multimillion dollar verdict for a quadriplegic client injured in a phantom vehicle rollover crash, multimillion dollar settlements for an infant who suffered a brain injury in an automobile crash and for a motorcycle rider left with permanent brain damage, a confidential settlement against a worldwide corporation for a slip and fall that caused severe spinal injuries, and a recovery against a school board and teacher for the abuse of special needs children.

In another case he pursued multiple defendants over construction defects and the improper maintenance of a handicapped shower seat that left an already disabled client with serious permanent injuries. Hammer has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and medical malpractice law and holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Born in New York and raised in Florida, he earned his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, his B.A. from Nova Southeastern University, and an A.A. from the University of Florida.
