Mike Gordon

Mike Gordon is a partner at Kelley | Uustal Trial Attorneys who spent years as a federal prosecutor with the Department of Justice before moving to plaintiff-side trial work. After clerking for federal judges in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, he prosecuted domestic violence and assault cases at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, then joined the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa in 2017 as an Assistant United States Attorney, trying cases against violent street gangs, armed robbery crews, and drug trafficking organizations. Following the January 6, 2021 riot, he was selected as Senior Trial Counsel for the Capitol Siege Section in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, where he led prosecutions of many of the most notorious January 6 defendants and achieved a perfect conviction record. He later prosecuted white collar fraud, tax crimes, public corruption, and cybercrime, including the indictment of a businessman who embezzled over $100 million from special needs victims.

Gordon has appeared as a legal analyst on CNN and MSNBC and has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Guardian, and Politico. He earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he chaired the Moot Court Board, and a B.A. in political science from Yale University. Before law, he spent his twenties teaching high school humanities and coaching basketball in the Washington, D.C. area.
