James McCauley

James A. 'Jim' McCauley is a personal injury attorney at Marks & Harrison, focusing exclusively on representing injured plaintiffs. He has served as Secretary of the firm.

McCauley was admitted to practice in 1984. He has been deeply involved in pro bono legal services in Central Virginia for more than 35 years, serving as past President of the Board of Directors of Southside Virginia Legal Services (13 years on the Board) and two terms as President of the Board of the Central Virginia Legal Aid Society. He has achieved Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating and is a member of the Boyd-Graves Conference.

McCauley earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law and his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland. After his undergraduate degree, he wrote for the Washington Star newspaper before attending law school.
