About Michael Orth

Michael Orth is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a designation requiring nearly exclusive practice in personal injury law, demonstrated trial success, continuing legal education, and a rigorous written exam. Born and raised in Dallas, he earned a B.S. in Political Science from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school he clerked at one of the five firms that represented the State of Texas against Big Tobacco, working on cases from catastrophic crane collapses to environmental class actions. After graduating, he moved to South Padre Island and practiced personal injury law across South Texas, trying nearly 20 cases in federal and state courts and consistently earning verdicts above the insurance companies' offers. He joined Miller Weisbrod Olesky and is admitted to practice in Texas.
