About Michael Schlesinger

Michael Schlesinger is a New York trial attorney known for his work in personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, labor law, mass tort, and commercial litigation. As head of the medical malpractice department at Morelli Law Firm, he has secured some of the highest settlements in the state, including recent settlements of $10.5 million, $6.5 million, $6.045 million, and $5 million. He also handles several of the firm's most substantial personal injury matters and has served as lead trial lawyer or as a member of trial teams in cases that produced verdicts of $102 million, $12 million, and $9 million. He appears often in courts across New York City and upstate, and a recently retired New York State judge described him as a highly skilled trial attorney who is a zealous advocate for his clients.

Mr. Schlesinger received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1995 and his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1991. Before law school he worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Herb Kohl, and while attending Fordham he worked for a firm specializing in white collar criminal cases. He is admitted in New York, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Claims, and has been called in to try cases in states across the country.
