About Sara Mahoney

Sara Mahoney is a partner at Morelli Law Firm PLLC. Her focus is appellate practice covering all aspects of civil personal injury litigation, along with nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, Labor Law construction accident, employment, and sex abuse and assault cases. She has spent her entire career advocating for accident victims and is the firm's go-to resource for legal writing and research.

Her work has been central to record results for the firm's clients, including upholding pain and suffering awards totaling $20 million in a traumatic brain injury case, the highest amount upheld for such damages for a single plaintiff in a brain injury case in New York State at that time, as well as settlements of $10.5 million in a medical malpractice case and over $6 million in a Labor Law case. Sara earned her J.D. summa cum laude from Florida State University College of Law, where she was a member of The Order of the Coif, a writing and research editor for the Journal of Transnational Law & Policy, an extern with the Innocence Project of Florida, and a clerk for Florida Supreme Court Justice Barbara Pariente. She is an active member of the New York Women's Bar Association, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and The National Trial Lawyers, and has been featured in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch since 2023.
