About Will Ortiz

Will Ortiz is an associate attorney at Warshauer Woodward Atkins, LLC, focusing on medical malpractice, psychiatric malpractice, and wrongful death cases, with particular concentration on victims of mental health malpractice and drug rehabilitation facility negligence. A native of Gwinnett County, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Georgia in 2016 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia in 2020. After college, he worked for the United States Department of Justice Civil Rights litigation department and in communications for a United States Senator in Washington, D.C. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has secured over $140 million for clients. His notable results include a $46 million verdict in a child sexual abuse case, a $19 million verdict for negligent hiring and training, and a $10 million verdict as lead counsel in a child sexual assault matter.

Super Lawyers has named him a Georgia Rising Star in the Medical Malpractice category each year since 2023. He serves as President of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association and mentors through the Georgia Latino Legal Foundation. He is fluent in Spanish.
