William Atkins

William J. Atkins is a partner at Warshauer Woodward Atkins, LLC and has been admitted to the Georgia Bar since 1994. He received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Vassar College in 1987 and his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1994. Atkins handles medical malpractice, product liability, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, employment discrimination, civil rights, false arrest, and excessive force cases.

He is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and all three United States District Courts in Georgia. He has served on the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Executive Board since 2017 and is a member of the Lamar Inn of Court and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. His notable verdicts include a $3.5 million result in Estate of Michael Banks v. South Atlanta Neurosurgery (2015), a $3.45 million result in Bronley v. Tapazoglu (2019), and a $3 million result in Estate of Shari Edwards v. DeKalb Medical Center (2017).
