Bijan Esfandiari

Bijan Esfandiari is a pharmaceutical product liability attorney and senior partner at Wisner Baum in Los Angeles, focusing on complex and multidistrict litigation, defective medical devices, drug product liability, and consumer fraud. He spent the first five years of his career at a major national defense firm before joining Baum Hedlund in 2007 to represent injured plaintiffs. Bijan has won precedent setting preemption rulings, including McCormick v. Medtronic before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and Mason v. SmithKline Beecham before the Seventh Circuit, decisions that allowed thousands of injured plaintiffs to pursue claims against drug and device manufacturers. He serves as co-lead plaintiffs' counsel in the Gardasil products liability MDL. Bijan earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2002 and speaks Farsi and conversational German.
