George Brugess

George T. Brugess is a partner at Cogan & Power, P.C. who has practiced railroad law for over 30 years, focusing primarily on Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA) litigation and occupational illness claims on behalf of injured railroad workers. Before representing plaintiffs, he spent 15 years as a general attorney for CNW Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad, giving him direct experience with how railroads approach FELA cases from the defense side. His notable results include co-litigating a $24 million county FELA verdict and representing clients in the Fox River Grove school bus crash litigation.
