About Michael Terranova

Michael C. Terranova is a partner at Cogan & Power, P.C. who concentrates his practice on representing injured railroad workers under the Federal Employers' Liability Act (FELA). A United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, he came to the law after working in the Riggers union and at U.S. Steel. He serves as legal counsel for the SMART Union and has tried FELA cases throughout Chicagoland and the Midwest.

He has created binding precedent in the Seventh Circuit and regularly speaks on FELA-related topics. Terranova holds a Certificate in Labor and Employment Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He serves as president of the Associate Board for Salute, Inc., a nonprofit supporting wounded veterans.
