About Matthew Weinshall

Matthew Weinshall earned his B.A. cum laude from Harvard College (2002) and his J.D. summa cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law (2010), where he served as an editor of the Law Review. Before law school, Matt worked as an equities trader and foreign exchange analyst for three years each. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and class actions in federal and state court. He is admitted to the Florida Bar.

The Daily Business Review has recognized him as one of Miami's 'Most Effective Lawyers' and as an attorney 'On the Rise.' He is also listed in the Chambers USA Guide for Litigation: Mainly Plaintiffs (2016-2018 and 2026). Notable matters include serving as one of the firm's lead attorneys in the Takata Airbag MDL (approved settlements totaling over $1.5 billion), obtaining a settlement valued at more than $57 million with Volkswagen over allegedly defective suspension systems, and leading litigation against Ally Financial that resulted in a settlement valued at more than $19 million.
