Brooks Tobin

Brooks Tobin is a partner at Sorrels Law who represents people who have suffered catastrophic injuries and families who have lost loved ones, taking on some of the largest companies in America and securing numerous seven-figure recoveries. A native of San Antonio, he earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University in 2011 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2014, then served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Rolando Olvera in the Southern District of Texas. He began his career at a Houston commercial litigation boutique handling complex disputes for major corporations and then practiced civil defense.

Work that taught him how corporations and insurers build and defend their cases, knowledge he now uses on behalf of injured people. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the Southern, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Texas, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and has been named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America list every year since 2024. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.
