John Busch

John Busch is a partner at Sorrels Law who handles catastrophic personal injury and construction defect litigation. Born and raised in Beaumont, Texas, he spent years litigating high-exposure dockets in state and federal court, primarily on the defense side, before bringing that experience to injured plaintiffs. His practice covers automobile and tractor-trailer accidents, premises liability, construction and industrial accidents, and burn injuries. He earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2014, where he was promoted to Articles Editor of the Baylor Law Review, competed on the mock trial team, and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers through the Dawson and Sodd Moot Court Competition.

He interned for the Honorable Marcia Crone in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. At Texas A&M University, where he completed a Business Honors degree in 2011, he was elected Junior and Senior Yell Leader and served as Mascot Corporal, caretaker of the university mascot Reveille. He served as a director of the Texas Young Lawyers Association board for Houston District 6 from 2018 to 2020, is an officer in the Houston Bar Association Litigation Section, and was named a Thomson Reuters Rising Star in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
